John Calovich is running for Manatee County Commissioner for District 6 because he is concerned about the future we are leaving behind for our children. As a family man and business owner, John understands the challenges facing local families and believes Manatee County needs leadership that puts residents first. His concerns:
- The out-of-control building with lack of infrastructure to support the building boom.
- The water problem facing Manatee each year due to droughts and population demands.
- Section 8 housing is being placed directly behind people’s homes.
- The lack of concern protecting our drinking water and reclaimed water.
- Traffic congestion on our roads has been an afterthought.
- The list goes on and on.
John has not collaborated with builders in Manatee County and does not accept campaign contributions from builders and real-estate lawyers.
